Top 5 Maps and Navigation Apps on Android in Chile, Q1 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, the top five maps and navigation applications on the Android platform in Chile exhibited varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with 17.9K downloads and ending with 17.8K. The peak was observed in the week of February 26, reaching 20.5K downloads. Weekly active users started at 1.17M and saw a gradual increase, peaking at 1.33M in mid-March before ending the quarter at approximately 1.27M.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at 19.8K in late January and fluctuating slightly before ending at around 17K downloads. The app's weekly active users showed a slight dip at the start but stabilized around 425K towards the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 15.1K and peaking at 16.3K in early March. The active user base remained relatively stable, starting at 171K and peaking at 175K in late February, before ending the quarter at 167K.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had fluctuating download numbers, starting at 15.8K and ending at 13.1K. The highest download count was 16K at the end of February. Active users saw a peak of 1.03M in mid-March, starting from 905K at the beginning of the quarter and ending at 939K.

Red Movilidad saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 9.8K and reaching a peak of 16.3K in early March. The weekly active users also increased from 69K at the beginning of January to 80.7K in early March, before a slight decline to 74.4K by the end of the quarter.
